Meaning of Paddle Design: 8 species of Native turtles live in Ontario, 3 are endangered. The spiny softshell, wood and spotted turtles are depicted on the paddle as a reminder of their sacredness and as a call to protect these 3 species.
Lucia has provided a signed Certificate of Authenticity.
Funding Project: Net proceeds from the sale of Lucia's paddle will be directed towards the support of the Wet'suwet'en, who are defending their unceded territory in British Columbia from the Coastal Gas Link (CGL) pipeline.
